Nokia 6300 - It’s Simple

June 22nd, 2008 by zarrinlandaveri

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Caitlin_Lucy]Caitlin Lucy Nokia has always given its customers mobiles that are easy to use and simple. True, it has also deviated a little to try its hand in the high-end mobile models, but nonetheless it has not forgotten what their stronghold is. Nokia 6300 is one such example. Nokia gets back to basics with Nokia 6300. The handset comes with strong design, yet with a flavour of old fashioned simplicity. Thus, what we get in Nokia 6300 is the best both in form and functionalities. Garbed in tough stainless steel covers, Nokia 6300 comes through as a robust model. Yet it does not feel like a huge stone to carry, as the phone is much lighter and is slim 12mm deep. The Nokia 6300’s 320×240-pixel (QVGA) colour screen displays up to 16 million colours, and offers a great treat to the eyes. While the four way navigation key may seem a little thin to operate, the keypad is well etched, large and easy to use. So, when it comes to typing messages, Nokia 6300 will come through as a pleasurable experience. Talking about messages, Nokia 6300 glows with a blue light on either side, when you have an unread text message. Nokia 8800 Series 40 user interface. The menu can be viewed as a grid of icons, as tabs or as list. The best part of the interface is that the users can rearrange the icons in the desired order. Besides, when someone hovers a bit too long over the menu, a pop up window springs up, explaining what the menu is all about. The Nokia 6300 boasts a camera, a music player, a video player, an FM radio and a voice recorder. The camera is pretty good, however there is no auto-focus or flash. For music, there is also the advantage of PC Suite. This enables the users to transfer music and video files to the 6300’s internal memory or to a 2GB (or smaller) microSD card. Other features of Nokia 6300 includes Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE connectivity and USB. [http://www.121mobileshop.co.uk/newdeals.asp?id=472]Nokia 6300 offers a talk time of 3.5 hours. Your Marketing Pie: The Key to an Abundance of Clients and Customers

June 19th, 2008 by zarrinlandaveri

By Alicia Forest In the very beginning stages of building my business, my own coach at the time shared with me his version of how to best market a coaching business. He called it a Marketing Pie, and each slice of the pie represented one type of marketing tactic. His advice was to create something similar for my own business to keep a steady stream of clients and customers in my funnel. I followed his advice and still do today. It’s the simplest method to follow and it works. Here’s how to create your own Marketing Pie: 1. Think about and research all the ways you can reach your niche and make a list of them. 2. Take a sheet of paper, draw a big circle in the middle, and draw 4 lines to create 8 slices. 3. Write in one marketing tactic in each slice of the pie. 4. Give each tactic a schedule to follow. 5. Start implementing each slice, one at a time. Here’s an example you can follow: When working with my private clients, I have them create their own marketing pie on a worksheet I give them that has a big circle with 4 intersecting lines across, which creates 8 slices of the pie. In each slice, I ask them to write in one marketing tactic they currently use. For example, ’speaking’ might be one, or ‘writing and submitting articles’ might be another, or ‘holding free teleseminars’ may be another. For any leftover slices, we fill in those with marketing tactics they are both interested in implementing in their business and that speak to their strengths (like doing a live presentation v. a written interview). A client’s marketing pie could include: - networking via online discussion groups comprised of people in their niche - writing and submitting articles of interest to their niche - networking at offline events where their niche ‘hangs out’ - holding a free intro teleseminar for people in their niche - holding a live free introductory talk for people in their niche - be a speaker at events that their niche attends - Publish an ezine for their niche - Be a guest expert on podcasts/radio shows for your niche Then for each of the slices, we attach a schedule to it. So, for example, if my client wants to publish an ezine, we may decide they will send it out once a week. If they decide they want to give a free intro talk, we may decide they will offer it once a month. The trick to any marketing is consistency. You can’t just do something once and expect to reap rewards from it - at least not consistent, long-term ones. That’s why putting your slices on a repeated schedule is so important. Once you start following this method, try not to get comfortable only implementing one or two slices of your marketing pie, even if they seem to work for awhile alone. The best way is to start with one or two, and once those are working well for you, add another and another, until you have all your slices working for you simultaneously. If you do that, you’ll enjoy a have an abundance of clients and customers all the time! Canadian Pharmacy School

June 7th, 2008 by zarrinlandaveri

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alison_Cole] Alison Cole Pharmacists in Canada are now moving over and going beyond routine duties like sitting behind the counter, collecting drugs and counting them. In fact, the industry is now witnessing a paradigm shift and pharmacists are at the centre of this new development in that country. Canada is now grooming a new generation of pharmacists who are now even counseling patients and giving them advice on the best and cost effective drugs. This new dimension to the career of a Canadian pharmacist has been attributed to the developments in the industry as a whole and the need to adapt to new market trends. Pharmacists are now being trained to adopt a patient centric approach, which also includes taking over some of the duties, hitherto performed by doctors. Budding Canadian pharmacists are also being taught to identify, mitigate and prevent problems related to medication. While the field of pharmacy is ever changing and evolving, pharmacists are now required to be on their toes all the time and adapt to changes in all the three modes of drug sale including online, mail order and conventional methods. Pharmacy schools are now giving special training in these aspects. A pharmacist should learn to cope with the bulk of information flowing in or he could be overwhelmed just by the number of new drugs that are hitting the market every year. Special emphasis is also placed on learning about the laws and regulations that are in place in Canada and the prevalent public health policy at the provincial or national government levels. Pharmacists are also required to liaise with community support groups and with ailment related groups like the local associations like the local lung association and local diabetics association. This mandates the knowledge of public relations work not to mention possession of good communication skills. The curriculum followed by Canadian pharmacy schools has evolved well in the last few years to cover these emerging areas and to provide students with the edge needed to obtain employment after obtaining their degrees. Drug manufacturers have been roped in by many reputed pharmacy schools to aid pharmacy students in choosing their streams from a wide range of options. Pharmacists are also being guided to grow into the excellent community pharmacists who go on to become the first link in the health care system. They are expected to play a significant role in ensuring that the patients receive the best drug therapy. Pharmacists can also specialize in fields like oncology, infectious disease, psychiatry, etc. Specializations help them in playing their role in various health care teams. The industry also wants pharmacists in areas like clinical research, marketing and public relations. They are also being involved in preparing information materials related to drugs and in educating pharmacists, physicians and patients. As of now, 9 universities in Canada are having pharmacy schools. The admission requirements usually vary from one university to another. After obtaining a Bachelors degree in pharmacy, one has to pass a national board examination through the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada. After this, one can also get some practical experience through an internship program. Different provinces in Canada have put forth different requirements for becoming a licensed pharmacist. In 2002, the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) began recognizing the accreditations awarded by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) for programs leading to a baccalaureate degree in pharmacy. The Frugal Fisherman: Part II

June 1st, 2008 by zarrinlandaveri

By A.J. Klott For those of you that don’t know this, fishermen by nature are a frugal lot. Being penny wise and pound foolish is standard fare, and I am no different. I recently noticed that the felt soles on my wading boots had become worn out on the bottom. I found this out the hard way,of course, discovering this while fishing on the river, going into my rendition of the “slick rock disco”, and falling into “the drink”.You would think I would have noticed that my felt soles had worn out and that I was now wearing hockey skates in the water, but with my wading boots being much like my car, I just get in them and go. I headed on down to “The Blackbird”, which is my favorite outdoor store–(not because of service or price but because they have this giant fifty foot, black and yellow blackbird statue in the parking lot)–and proceeded to reaquaint myself with wading boot prices. Having last bought wading boots circa 1990, fifteen years inflation certainly caused my jaw to drop. Outside of standing there and looking like one of the “appalachian” characters from the movie Deliverance, I was quickly convinced that my boots still had plenty of life in them, and that a “re-sole-ing” was the answer. I found that my good friend Hodgeman made felt sole replacements for my boots, and that the fifteen dollar cost was quite reasonable. I also thought this would allow me to “become one” with my boots and give me that nice “do it yourself” project, that gives one that warm satisfying moment when one feels self-suffecient. You see it coming, don’t you? The instructions seemed fairly simple,Step 1: first remove the old felt soles. Since. there wasn’t much felt sole left, this didn’t seem like a very demanding first step. But, what was left was secured to the bottom of the boot like a barnicle to a pier. I pulled and peeled and cut, (and at one point seriously consideredusing my Dremel tool) until finally getting enough old sole removed. Step 2: Spread a thin layer of supplied “felt sole cement” on the felt, wait 30 minutes. This went rather well. No problemo. While I waited, I “scuffed” up the bottom of the boots to help with the adhereing of the felt soles. This seemed rather redundant, since I had gouged up the bottoms pretty well during the felt removal process. Step 3: Repeat spreading of “felt sole cement”, wait thirty minutes and secure felt to bottom of boots. Note:You may want to use a generous amount of tape to help hold the felt in place and help secure the heel and toe area. Boy, was that an understatement. After about a roll of duct tape and the use of some large c-clamps that were laying around, I think I finally got the felt to adhere to the boot. I say “think”, because there is so much duct tape around the boot that I can no longer even see the felt sole and can only trust that the tape has secured the two surfaces together. Not to mention that the boots now look like a pair of freakish silver Michael Jackson dancing spats or a pair of “punked out” Air FrankenJordans. Step 4: Allow eight hours drying time. This is where I am at now.Past history tells me that nothing good can come of this. I am afraid to remove the tape, feeling the same anxiety a plastic surgery patient feels when they remove the bandages. Maybe I am being a touch negative here, but I have the feeling when I remove the duct tape– that of course assuming I can get the sticky duct tape off– the felt sole will simply fall to the ground, be stuck to the duct tape, or that the shoes will scream”I’m alive, I’M ALIVE HA ha ha ha….” At this point I feel compelled to show you an actual “un-retouched” photo of my boot repair operation. If you are unable to view this wherever you are reading this you might want to visit www.twoguyswithflys.com in order to get a full understanding. Yes, these are my wading boots. This is what they have become! Perhaps, the boots will remain shaped in this contorted figure that the duct tape-clamping combination has transformed them into. With my luck, I will be walking around with the toes pointed skyward like some “pixie shoed- fishing gnome”, with leaves all stuck to the outer surface because of the tape “residue” left on the outside of the boot!! Maybe, the soles will initially be fine and as soon as I hit the cold clear water of the Rogue river they will just simply shrink up and fall off.We all know about shrinkage and cold water-now don’t we fellas?! I just have a BAD FEELING about this!! At any rate, I will be back down at the “Blackbird” this afternoon repricing wading boots. As usual, I will have spent fifteen dollars more than the actual price of the boots, and wasted two hours “becoming one” with my boots. I don’t know what it is that makes us fishermen so frugal and why I continually get sucked into thinking I can “do-it-myself”, but I know this won’t be the last time… …In fact, there is this pin hole in my breathable waders somewhere that I can’t find, anyone know how much a patch kit is? 10 Tips to Medical Spa Startup Success

May 26th, 2008 by zarrinlandaveri

By Jeff Russell Even though the Medical Spa industry is still in its infancy, I am beginning to see some trends says Jeff Russell, the CEO of MedSpa Financing. Weve compiled the following 10 tips for those considering opening a medical spa. Dont try and re-invent the wheel, learn from our experience, here are 10 tips that will help you open a successful and profitable Medical Spa. 1. Have sufficient funds Dont even think about opening a Medical Spa unless you have the capital needed to bring it through the startup and first year of operation. Invariably, your planning will not deal with all of the unforeseen issues that can occur in the MedSpa industry. From regulatory compliance changes and training costs, to increased marketing costs. Under-capitalization is a leading indicator of business failure. You should considering a combination of various financing strategies from leasing to working capital. 2. Talk with other doctors who have successful, operating Medical Spas Ask them what they would do the same, and what they would do differently. We are starting to see some established Medical Spas out there, try and learn from their experiences and best practices. 3. Join associations that help new Medical Spas succeed They are a great source of experienced MedSpa owners, who have already gone through what you will. In addition, they often have members who have specialized in the MedSpa industry, including: business planning, marketing, design, dealing with regulatory issues, insurance and finance. The International Medical Spa Association even has a mentorship program that is available for new MedSpa owners. It is invaluable to chat with someone across the country who has had the same problems you may have, especially if you know they are not a local competitor! 4. Know your strengths and weaknesses No one is strong in all areas, you may be an expert in age management medicine, but you may be weak on the business and marketing side. Thats fine, but you are going to need to identify the areas where you are weak and compensate. Not all areas require a permanent, full-time employee, you may consider hiring a consultant who has the necessary experience. 5. Watch your expenses Especially during the startup phase of a MedSpa, it can be easy to see the glamour of having marble flooring, but is it really necessary? You may be better off adding another hair removal treatment room, which will generate income. Remember the old adage: it will take twice as long and cost twice as much as you anticipated. 6. Determine what need your Medical Spa meets As with any successful business, you need to meet a consumer demand. With 11,500 people joining the over 50 crowd every day, you have a great potential market. But you need to make sure you are where they can be found (i.e. medical centers, shopping centers, established communities). 7. Know your cash flow You may think financial statements are only for accountants to understand, but you need to be able to read some key financial statements. Including the cash flow statement, this lets you know where the money is coming from and where it is going. You must always know your current cash flow situation, if you cannot pay your bills, you are effectively out of business. 8. Do it because you want to do it Starting a MedSpa is going to consume two things: time and money. The profit potential of a MedSpa is huge, but if you are not doing what you really enjoy, it will show on your bottom-line! As you will probably be spending more time and money than you originally planned, you need to make sure operating a Medical Spa is what you really want to do. 9. Dont hire family and friends They may be able to provide you with valuable assistance during the startup phase, but they most likely will not be able to get you to that next level. This is where having an experienced MedSpa director is very important. Not only are they going to hire and train your employees, but they also will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MedSpa. Hiring a competent MedSpa Director can allow you to run your MedSpa as a stand alone profit center; one that makes money whether you are there or not. 10. Dont forget about regulatory and insurance issues Since you will be incorporating medical procedures in your MedSpa you need to ensure you have the proper coverage for the procedures you will be performing. While you already have malpractice insurance, it may not cross-over to your MedSpa practice. Many insurers are now requiring offices adding or expanding cosmetic-aesthetic procedures to their practice to document clinical and/or accredited training on all non-ablative modalities before a policy of coverage will be extended. Please consult your insurance provider to ensure you are covered. The underlying theme here is Be Prepared! The key to any business success, including opening a successful medical spa is being properly capitalized from the very beginning. To make things more complicated, you also need to take into account the evolving regulations surrounding the MedSpa industry. I am now seeing successful Medical Spas turning profits after 6 to 9 months, there are many very happy doctors out there says Russell. About Jeff Russell Jeff Russell is the President and CEO of the Oakridge Financial Group, which includes the healthcare financing divisions: Oakridge Healthcare and MedSpa Financing. MedSpa Financing specializes in providing turn-key financing options for doctors wishing to expand their practice with a Medical Spa. Jeff Russell has over 18 years finance and hospitality experience working for world class organizations, including: Fairmont Hotels, Club Med, and the Allianz Group. Be Ms. Right Before Looking for Mr. Right

May 17th, 2008 by zarrinlandaveri

By Brooke Brimm There is a bunch of talk among women about finding Mr. Right, and there seems to be a common consensus that finding him is a near impossible task. A Woman who is perceived to have found him is envied and bombarded with questions as to how she landed him. The problem with this Mr. Right theory is that it implies that women are automatically Ms. Rights. Unfortunately, this is not true. We are not all wonderful, innocent, drama-free damsels waiting patiently for our Mr. Right. Its hard to admit, but women are capable of doing just as much lying, cheating, and gaming as men. If you expect to find a man that is from free from game- playing, lying, cheating, and deceiving, be committed to being that kind of person yourself. Make a conscious effort to treat others with respect. Decide to be open and honest with others, decide to share and give of yourself, and decide to live up to the truthfulness and righteousness in which you believe. The closer you move toward becoming Ms. Right the sooner you will attract Mr. Right because people of like mines, words, and deeds are drawn to one another. I remember when I realized that the game playing in my life had to stop. I moved to a new city with the belief that if I got away from the bad influences in my life (i.e. no good men) everything would be great. However, within one month of living in my new city I had attracted the same old drama. I quickly realized that although my environment had changed I had stayed the same, and had created all the same turmoil within a very short period of time. I began the slow and steady progression toward being a better person. Two years later I married a great man, and we have been in a twelve- year marriage that is sincere, respectful, and free of game playing. Not to imply that we have not hurt each other because we have. Its hard to avoid hurting each other in any relationship. However, we come together in respect and honesty to work out our problems, and try really hard to be the best we can be for each other. We own our emotions, and share how we feel with the knowledge that it may get ugly at times, but we can get through it. Stir it up: Observe how you interact with the men in your life. Think about what you might be with holding, hiding, sneaking, lying about, cheating, and the games you may be playing. In your heart, you will recognize right from wrong because God made it so. The next time you feel like what you are about to do is wrong do not give in. Do what is right! Then ask yourself what motivated you to want to do wrong. Why did you feel justified to do the wrong thing? It is not because you are a bad person it probably has more to do with emotions like fear, anger, frustration, envy or disappointment. Remember it is okay to feel these emotions because God made them, but it is not okay to react destructively because of what you feel. Making a Hit with Your Marketing Campaign

May 14th, 2008 by zarrinlandaveri

By Susan Freidmann Considered a vital link in a show’s promotional plan, direct marketing is vital only if it’s done right. It’s certainly not as simple as typing a letter, adding an address and stamp, and popping it in the mail. Direct marketing specialist Debbie Bermont, president of San Diego-based Source Communications, offers her golden rules for creating that vital, highly successful direct marketing campaign. There are some key golden rules to making your direct mailings work effectively. That doesn’t mean that you have to spend more money in order to succeed. Far from it. In fact, you could find yourself spending less — or at least spending more strategically — than you may be doing at present. Here’s how: Mail to Mr. Right There’s a simple but very clear distinction between junk mail and direct mail. Junk mail is mail that isn’t wanted. Direct mail is something that goes to the right person and is wanted. One major key to the success of your direct mailing is to find the right people to mail to. If you are working on a follow-up show, then targeting the people who signed up last year would be a good place to start. If it’s a new show or a new list, your first job is to start with a research phone call to find out who that right person is. Even if you’re using last year’s list, it is still worth a telephone call to check that your information is up to date. Don’t ever rely on anyone passing your mailer on — it just won’t happen. Boost Your Letter Once you’ve found out who to send your letter to, your next step is to make sure that your letter works to its maximum effect. Write it as a one-on-one dialogue. Beware of using industry lingo that your prospect may not understand. Keep your paragraphs short and sweet — no more than seven lines. Break up your letter into clearly defined subheads. And keep it to two pages in length. Make All Your Copy Benefit-Oriented List the benefits so they are easy to understand. And remember that a benefit is a lot different than a feature. Features do not have the clout that benefits do. For example, stating that “10,000 people attended our show last year” is merely a feature. Write it in the context of a benefit: “You can have the opportunity of making 10,000 qualified contacts in three days,” and you’ll start making the impact that you want. Repeat your offer at least three times throughout your letter: in your headline, within the first two paragraphs, and again in your closing paragraph. You can also include it in a “p.s.” Last, but not least, tell your prospects what the next step is and tell them to do it today. Also include details of where to go for more information. Your goal should be for the recipients to immediately respond to your letter in a positive way. Make an Impact Your mail piece must stick out from all the rest. Yours will not be the only piece of direct mail that lands on your prospects’ desks today. The more you can do to catch their attention, peak their curiosity, and urge them to open the packet, the better. One particularly effective way of doing this is to make your packet lumpy. For example, you can include Post-it notes or candy (but never candy that could melt!). Make it even more appealing by relating your insert to your offer or your message. For example, insert a bite-sized Pay Day candy bar along with the message, “Every day’s a Pay Day when you exhibit at the ABC Show!” Another idea is to affix large plastic aspirin capsules to your mailer with the message “Don’t let this be another headache for you!” Or include a card with a telephone ringing along with the note “Give us a call today!” Whatever your insert, make your message clear, make it novel, make it fun, make it useful, and make it one that leaves a warm fuzzy feeling — not confetti. All that does is leave a mess! Too Good to Miss Create an offer that can’t be refused. This may be a limited time offer (the expiration should never be longer than 60 days), or an offer that sets you apart from your competition, such as a better location or a bigger booth size with early sign up. Whatever the offer, the incentive has to be sufficiently appealing to inspire immediate action. Remember that there’s no point in offering an outstanding incentive if no one knows about it. So in your direct mail piece, make this offer clear, easy to understand, easy to respond to, and relevant for your audience. Easy Does It Make it as simple as possible for your prospect to respond to you. The most effective option is a fax-back form with quick and easy response sections. Other possibilities are a toll-free telephone number, a postage-paid reply card, or a Web site. The Web site might not necessarily be your direct response tool, but it is certainly very effective as an additional interactive vehicle for obtaining more information about the show. Follow up by Phone Whatever you send out, make sure you follow it up with a telephone call to close the sale. You’ll see single digit response rates quickly turn into double digits as a result. Whoever makes those phone calls must be professional, courteous, and well-informed of the details of the show and the benefits of exhibiting. Printing Essentials There are plenty of ways to save money, time, and mistakes when it comes to your direct mail bottom line — and all without compromising quality or quantity. Here are a few ideas to consider: Save money with a printer. Pick a printer that will work with you — not necessarily the one that offers the lowest bid. If you don’t, you could end up sacrificing both quality and money. Get at least three estimates from three different reputable printers. Ask to see samples of their printing quality. Remember that you can always negotiate a price (typically between 10 percent and 20 percent off of the price they first quote you). For small print jobs buy your paper at a discount paper warehouse and avoid the printer’s markup. Always supply a very detailed purchase order that includes all the details that could be problems: price quoted, ink colors, paper specs, space requirements, quantity, etc. Make sure that you see a final proof before the job is printed. When possible, supply the printer with a sample of your final art as a guideline. Mailing Tips Not only does a little know-how help with your printing procedures, but in your mailing too. If you want to save dollars, use third-class or bulk rate. You can save more than 70 percent of your postage cost if you can afford the slight time delay that bulk rate demands. Deliverability of bulk rate mail is between three and 10 days, but depending on the city, it can be just as fast as first-class. Make up a sample package in the early stages of your preparation and take it down to your post office to check that it will go through the mail system without any problems. You don’t want to find this out after you have printed 30,000 pieces! Consider using a mail house to handle and sort your volume work. It can save an enormous amount of your time for a relatively low fee. Concerned about the image of mailing bulk rate? You can buy third-class stamps, which make a much better impact than a metered bulk rate mark. What’s the key to your direct mail? It’s the synergistic effect of multiple hits — whether that’s by mail, telephone, e-mail, broadcast fax, or an inexpensive postcard reminder — which will ultimately make the impact and make the sale. How to Deal With a Collection Agency

May 9th, 2008 by zarrinlandaveri

By Stu Pearson If you are currently being contacted by a collection agency, the feeling can be awful. With the calls and letters coming in most every day, it probably seems as if there is no end in sight. However, there are some simple and effective measures that you can take to stop the contact for good. In this article, lets take a look at how to deal with a collection agency. The most obvious method for getting rid of a collection agency is to simply pay off the debt. However, the fact that the debt has reached a collection agency is probably a good indication that you are unable to. If you have a trusted friend or family member, maybe you can explain your situation and borrow the money from them. The simple fact is that the sooner the debt gets settled, the sooner the collection agency will stop contacting you. O.K., lets assume that you do not have the finances or the resources available to pay off the debt. Now what? Well, the best advice regardless of your situation is to never ignore the letters or the calls. It may be scary having to actually speak with the collection agency, but ignoring the contact will only make the situation worse. Most of the time, a collection agency will be very interested in hearing your side of the story, and they will be more willing to make arrangements that you will be able to meet. Let them know that you are not avoiding the debt, and that you are committed to paying the debt in time. The collection agency will then work with you to come up with a viable payment plan. Better yet, if you are able to follow through with the plan, it is guaranteed that the calls and letters will stop completely. What happens if you are contacted by an aggressive collection agency that is not willing to make an arrangement? Let me assure you; these agencies are few and far between. The days of browbeating a debtor are nearly extinct. This is due to the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act), a law designed to protect consumers from harassing or abusive collection methods. However, if you still find yourself faced with a collection agency that is unwilling to work with you, take note of the practices they employ. They could very well be in violation of this act. If that turns out to be the case, make sure you document all calls for improprieties, and contact a lawyer who deals in such matters. It should be mentioned that just because a collection agency wont make an arrangement or payment plan, this doesnt necessarily mean that they are in violation of the FDCPA. It only means the possibility exists, because most quality agencies are willing to work with a debtor to get the debt resolved. Now that you know how to deal with a collection agency, you can work towards ending the calls and letters once and for all. Think of how great it will feel to have the situation behind you, and do your best to meet any arrangements made in clearing your debt. Good luck! Raising and Catching Catfish

May 4th, 2008 by zarrinlandaveri

By Stephen Graham The channel catfish, one of the best tasting and sport friendly fish made for the rod angler. I believe that this fish reigns supreme in it’s habitat. A fish made for fishing by kids of all ages. you can have a good time catching and eating this fish. Watch out for it’s fins and have a pair of pliers or skin pullers at the ready and you will be prepared for a great experience. Chicken liver reigns supreme as bait to catch him. There are also many baits ready made by manufacturers to get him on your hook . Since the channel grows to such large proportions,a large hook and tough terminal gear should be used. I have kids and grandchildren who love to fish. Bass need bigger areas of water in which to live and grow large. Sun fish and bream are okay but they do not grow to large sizes. Kids love to catch the smaller fish but are especially delighted to have a change of pace and have a chance to hook into Mr. whiskers. I wanted an area where my children could have fun in a clean environment. I had a stock tank built on my property for a reasonable cost. I started to build a fishing pier by myself. The rains came and the pond began to fill up with water. Any ideas that I had in my head about putting post supports in the ground for the pier were dashed. I obtained 55 gallon non metal drums at a reasonable cost and began to work. I built the floating pier next to the waters’ edge without the use of any electricity. I used drills that worked off of batteries and hammer and nails, I used treated wood and spiral nails that would not rust in the elements. I used my 6 year old as a pilot to test the stability of my project. After several dunks in the water I added structure onto the pier until it was very stable. I added a box structure on the end of the pier to hold one of my deer feeders. I cut a hole in the bottom and bolted the feeder down. Since I was one person and trying to find the most simple and most efficient means for building, I installed ropes on both sides in two locations. The ropes were secured to trees on the shoreline. The ropes could be secured so that they would not interfere with your fishing. This setup also aids levity in the natural rise and fall of water levels. I went on a shopping trip to one of the local fish hatcheries, I came away with several hundred channel catfish in plastic bags, The fingerlings averaged from 4-6 inches long. I had already procured cat fish chow from one of the local feed stores. Dog food will do just as well. I put the pellets into the feeder and set the timer to discharge feed early in the morning and about 1 hour before sunset. Monitoring the quantity of pellets released can give you a good idea of how much the fish are actually eating and how much is waste. I changed the batteries in the feeder occasionally and watched as the fish came up to feed on the floating pellets. Catfish do not eat as much in winter months, so adjust the feed output accordingly. I waited until the fish reached a certain length before fishing was allowed. After 2 1/2 years wait the kids and family were catching catfish that weighed 8 pounds. We had many fish fries where many families were fed. My kids and family looked forward to going fishing at the stock tank and many good times were enjoyed by us all. Outdoor activities like fishing are good ways for kids and adults to spend their leisure time. In this instance we were bringing a lot of food home to the larder. MY son developed an affinity for the outdoors and now my grandchildren are beginning to reap the rewards of my efforts so many years ago.
